THEME: Courage and Compassion
TOPIC: Courage and Compassion
MAIN TEXT: Titus 3:1-8
MEMORY VERSE: Titus 3:8b (KJV) – that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men
Introduction
The world’s perspective on courage and compassion is far different from God’s perspective, more often than not, men of the world show courage to support their pride, and compassion only to those that love and praise them which is wrong. The true meaning of courage and compassion, together with the template that believers need to follow about the matter of courage and compassion, has been well exemplified by our Lord Jesus Christ, in that He lays down his life for us having foreseen the severity of the pain and shame He will go through. Yet, He considered none of these but was overtaken by the love to save humanity from destruction. This is what we are commanded to do to everyone around us most especially the unsaved (John 13:34-35). It is my prayer that as we engage in this topic, the Holy Spirit will ignite this life in us in Jesus name (Amen).

Conclusion
Courage and compassion are both products of genuine love and are inseparable. They cannot be demonstrated out of zeal through flesh, as it will only lead to hurt and regret but through faith in Jesus and hope in eternity. As such believers must know that the only way this can become our lifestyle is when we are deeply rooted in Christ Jesus our Savior. May God’s help be for us all in Jesus name. Amen
